The 2020 National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care & Treatment will take place at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC, located in the heart of the city.  Attendees cannot reserve a hotel room until you have registered for the conference and received a confirmation email.  Information on reserving a room is in the registration confirmation email.  Registration does not open until early 2020.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

Plan Ahead 

The Marriott Marquis Washington, DC does not offer airport shuttle service.  You can plan your rides on Metrorail by typing your starting point and destination into the Metrorail website's Trip Planner at www.wmata.com.  Metro fares can also be purchased in advance and mailed to attendees prior to the start of the conference at www.wmata.com/fares.

From Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA):

Metro

The easiest way to get from DCA to the Marriott Marquis is via Metro, DC’s subway system. Metro’s Yellow Line goes from the airport to Mount Vernon Square/Convention Center, which is next to the hotel.  The fee is $1.70 one way.  Three of Metrorail’s six transit lines stop at the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop (Red, Yellow, and Green).  To reach the Blue, Orange or Silver lines, at Gallery Place station, take the Red line going in the direction of the Shady Grove station and get off at the first stop, Metro Center.

Driving 

Take the ramp onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway.  Travel 1.0 miles and take the ramp onto Interstate 395 North to Washington.  Travel 0.9 miles to the 12th Street exit toward L'Enfant Promenade.  Travel 0.2 miles and make a slight left onto the 12th Street Expressway.  After 0.7 miles, the expressway will turn slightly to the left and become 12th Street NW.  Travel 0.8 miles to L Street NW to Massachusetts Avenue NW and make a slight right.  The hotel entrance will be on the left.

From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD):

Metro

IAD offers an express bus to the Metro's Silver Line, which will take you to the Marriott Marquis.  Head down to the Arrivals Door 4 to purchase your ticket.  Tickets are available for $5 using cash or credit only.  Please note that SmartTrip Cards are not accepted.  The bus will then take you to the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station.  Follow the signs from the parking garage to the Metro, board the Silver Line toward Largo Town Center, and take the train to the Metro Center stop.  Exit the station and walk 10 minutes to the hotel.

Driving 

If you are driving from IAD to the venue, exit the airport following signs for Dulles Toll Road/VA-267.  Take VA-267 East for 2.3 miles and merge onto Interstate 66 East.  Travel 8.3 miles and take the E Street/ Interstate 66 East exit on the left.  Keep left at the fork in the road.  Follow signs for Whitehurst Freeway and merge onto Interstate 66 East.  Travel 0.5 miles and take the exit on the left toward Rock Creek Parkway.  Travel 0.1 miles to K Street NW and turn right. Travel 1.6 miles to 11th Street NW and turn left.  Make the first right onto Massachusetts Avenue NW and the hotel will be on the left.

From Baltimore/Washington National Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

Metro

Amtrak and MARC trains serve Union Station in Washington, D.C., via the train station adjacent to the airport.  Shuttle buses from the airport terminal take passengers directly to the airport’s train station.  One-way fares to Union Station are approximately $7. Once you arrive at Union Station in Washington, DC, take the Metro red line to the Gallery Place/Chinatown station and walk three blocks to the hotel.

Driving 

If you’re driving: Take Interstate 195 West for 1.7 miles to exit 2B and merge onto Interstate 295 South toward Washington.  Travel 23.7 miles and merge onto US-50 West. US-50 West will become New York Avenue.  Travel 4.8 miles on New York Avenue NE then continue straight into Mount Vernon Place NW.  Make a slight right onto Massachusetts Avenue NW and the hotel will be on the right. 

Parking 

Only valet parking is available at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC.  Attendees are highly encouraged to use public transportation, taxis, or rideshare services.  If attendees must drive and cannot use valet, the nearest parking garages are less than a 10-minute walk from the conference venue.
