About the 2024 National Ryan White Conference

HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) is committed to enriching the experience of the community. Therefore, we are excited to announce the 2024 NRWC will use a hybrid model, which will allow HRSA HAB to incorporate both in-person attendance and virtual participation opportunities, providing conference participants flexibility in how they choose to attend.

The virtual component of the NRWC will utilize the Chime online platform, which was used for the 2020 and 2022 conferences. All RWHAP recipients, providers, subrecipients, federal, national, state, and local organizations supporting the HIV community, and people with HIV are encouraged to participate in the 2024 NRWC.

Location & Venue

The in-person component of the 2024 National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care & Treatment will take place at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC, in the heart of the city center. Please do not book a hotel room until you have registered for the conference and received a confirmation email.

If you are attending the conference in-person, information on booking your hotel room at the per diem rate will be included in your registration confirmation email. Do not book a hotel room until you have received a confirmation email that your in-person registration has been approved.

Transportation & Parking

The Marriott Marquis Washington, DC does not offer airport shuttle service.

From Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA)

The easiest way to get from DCA to the Marriott Marquis is via Metro, DC’s subway system. Metro’s Yellow Line goes from the airport to Mount Vernon Square/Convention Center, which is next to the hotel. The fee is $1.70 one way.

If you are driving from DCA to the venue, travel 0.5 miles north on Aviation Circle and make a slight right onto South Smith Boulevard. Take the ramp onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Travel 1.0 miles and take the ramp onto Interstate 395 North to Washington. Travel 0.9 miles to the 12th Street exit toward L'Enfant Promenade. Travel 0.2 miles and make a slight left onto the 12th Street Expressway. After 0.7 miles, the expressway will turn slightly to the left and become 12th Street NW. Travel 0.8 miles to L Street NW to Massachusetts Avenue NW and make a slight right. The hotel entrance will be on the left.

From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

If you are driving from IAD to the venue, exit the airport following signs for Dulles Toll Road/VA-267. Take VA-267 East for 2.3 miles and merge onto Interstate 66 East. Travel 8.3 miles and take the E Street/ Interstate 66 East exit on the left. Keep left at the fork in the road. Follow signs for Whitehurst Freeway and merge onto Interstate 66 East. Travel 0.5 miles and take the exit on the left toward Rock Creek Parkway. Travel 0.1 miles to K Street NW and turn right. Travel 1.6 miles to 11th Street NW and turn left. Take the first right onto Massachusetts Avenue NW and the hotel will be on the left.

From Baltimore/Washington National Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

If you are driving from BWI to the venue, travel 0.5 miles north at Aviation Circle and make a slight right onto South Smith Boulevard. Take the ramp onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Travel 1.0 miles and take the ramp onto Interstate 395 North to Washington. Travel 0.9 miles to the 12th Street exit toward L'Enfant Promenade. Metro

Three of Metrorail’s six transit lines stop at the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop (Red, Yellow, and Green). To reach the Blue, Orange, or Silver lines, at Gallery Place station, take the Red line going in the direction of the Shady Grove station and get off at the first stop, Metro Center.

You can plan your rides on Metrorail by typing your starting point and destination into the Metrorail website's Trip Planner at www.wmata.com. Metro fares can also be purchased in advance and mailed to attendees prior to the start of the conference at www.wmata.com/fares/index.cfm.

Parking

The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program provides a comprehensive system of HIV primary medical care, medication, and essential support services for low-income people with HIV to improve health outcomes and reduce HIV transmission.
